Women Defining Wellness: Wednesday Women × Booth in San Francisco

||By Booth

The wellness economy is $6.8 trillion. The women shaping it deserve a closer look.

The wellness industry now spans mental health, digital care, nutrition, fitness, women's health, and healthcare. The Global Wellness Institute expects it to reach $9.8 trillion by 2029.

Over the summer, Wednesday Women, sponsored by Booth, put 37 women in the spotlight through Women Defining Wellness, a series featuring founders, CEOs, and senior executives across health and wellness.

They come from different companies and different corners of the industry, with plenty to say about the work they’re doing and where health and wellness is headed.

What is Women Defining Wellness?

Women Defining Wellness is a Wednesday Women spotlight series featuring 37 women executives shaping health and wellness.

The women featured work across a wide range of areas, from mental health and women’s health to digital care, nutrition, consumer wellness, and healthcare.

They’re building companies, leading teams, and working on ideas that are changing how we think about health and wellness.

There’s something different about getting people in the same room. You can follow someone’s work online or read their leadership story, but you get to know people differently when you’re sitting across the table from them. The conversation gets more candid. You find the things you have in common. Sometimes you meet someone you didn’t know you needed to know.

“It’s an honor to be in community with professional women who are leading teams, growing companies, and doing it with heart and honesty,” said Jen.

That was the spirit of the evening. As Wednesday Women founder Leslie Greenwood puts it, “I don’t think the best executive events should feel like executive events.”

The group had another chance to connect over coffee the following morning.
