Why is the plan harder to hit now?

The math behind a PE return has changed. Revenue growth alone rarely gets you to the number anymore.
14-Cards

10-12%

Annual EBITDA growth a typical deal now needs for a 2.5x return over five years. In the 2010s it was 5%.[1]

~7 years

Typical buyout holding period at exit, up from five to six.[2]

3.3%

Rise in US private-sector compensation costs in the year to June 2026. Benefits rose 3.8%.[2]

18-ContentGroup

When growth is slow and labor costs rise every year, the plan has to come from how the work gets done.

How do companies usually start with Booth?

107-IconCards

We run it

We build the team, manage the work and report against your KPIs. One monthly rate to start, moving to pricing on outcomes once the work is stable.

Best when: You want the function handled, not staffed.

See Managed Solutions →

You run it, we employ it

We recruit and employ dedicated people who work under your direction. Salary plus a flat monthly fee, so you see exactly what you pay.

Best when: You want to keep day-to-day management.

See Talent Solutions →

Own it later

Build-operate-transfer. We build and run the team, then move it to your own entity with people and processes intact.

Best when: The plan calls for owning the capability.

How build-operate-transfer works →

Employ who you already have

Contractors abroad become employees in their own country through BoothOS, with benefits and protections, and no foreign entity for you.

Best when: You already have contractors in other countries.

What does build-operate-transfer actually look like?

Until you choose to transfer, we keep running and growing the team with you. You hold the option the whole time.

files-mauve copy

Build

We recruit the team, set up the processes and run a structured ramp. Ten weeks to mobilize. Twenty weeks from signature to steady state.[3]

magnifying-search

Operate

We run the team to your KPIs for at least 18 months, so the operation is stable before anyone talks about moving it.[3]

community copy

Transfer

A fixed six-month window. Three months to plan, three to move. Your people keep their tenure, leave and retirement credits. The processes, SOPs and workflows move with them.[3]

Running a PE-backed company?
Start with one function.

You have an EBITDA target, a board that wants a plan, and no appetite for a vendor you can't unwind. We start with one function you've decided isn't what makes you different. Finance operations, customer support, order management, claims, recruiting. We build the team, run it to your standard, and report against it every week. Every team comes with a dedicated ops lead, quality, workforce planning and coaching, with buffers built in.

The question we hear first isn't about cost. It's about control. With a managed team you get more of it, not less. We're accountable for the outcome, so you stop filling seats and start reviewing results.

What changes

✓ Who's accountable for the day-to-day
✓ What the function costs you
✓ How fast you can add people

What doesn't

✓ Your standard
✓ Your customers
✓ Your decision to bring it in-house later

We'll tell you what we wouldn't move. Some work belongs with you, and saying so is part of the job.

Investing in companies? Here's where Booth fits in a hold.

06-ContentMedia
booth-and-partners-office-collaboration

Booth builds and runs a back-office team for your company, then hands it over as its own entity when the plan calls for it.

Pulling third-party spend in-house is a common line in a value-creation plan. Standing up that capability well is harder than it looks, and it takes time most holds don't have.

Build-operate-transfer gives your company the capability without the build risk. We build the team and run it. Once it's stable, the company can take it over as its own entity, with the people, processes and tenure intact. Until then, it holds the option.

We're most useful early in the hold, while the first plan is being built. And we don't ask you to push us on your CEOs. Introduce us to one company. We'll earn the rest.

Questions PE-backed teams ask us

13-Accordion

Questions PE-backed teams ask us

Will we lose control of the work?

No. You set the standard and we're accountable to it. You see performance every week, and you can bring the work back in-house on a plan we agree up front.

How is this different from a BPO?

A BPO sells you seats. We build a team that works as part of your company, run it to your KPIs, and keep the people. Nine in ten stay with us each year.

What's build-operate-transfer?

We build and run a team for you. Once it has run steadily for at least 18 months, you can move it to your own entity over a six-month window. People keep their tenure, and the processes move with them.

Do we need our own entity in the Philippines or Colombia?

No. We employ your team. If you decide to own it later, build-operate-transfer is how you get there.

How long before a team is running?

About ten weeks to mobilize, and twenty weeks from signature to steady state for a managed program. Smaller teams move faster.

Is this about replacing people with AI?

No. The work is human-led. We add automation where it measurably helps, and people review what it does.

How do you handle security and compliance?

We hold a SOC 2 Type I attestation, shareable under NDA, with Type II scheduled for Q1 2027. We're compliant with the Philippine Data Privacy Act and operate to HIPAA and PCI DSS controls. Teams work from our offices with role-based access to your systems.

Our fund introduced us. Does that change anything?

Only that you get a warm start. You make the decision and you sign your own agreement.

Running a PE-owned agency?

Margins shrink as agencies add people. Your firm still wants more EBITDA. We build the delivery and back-office team underneath your specialists, so you keep the client relationship and the brand.
