Ocean Allies: Booth & CCEF Join Forces for their First Beach Cleanup

||By Leslie Detera

The climate crisis and plastic pollution affect the planet in more ways than we can imagine.

Unfortunately, the oceans and its resources, along with the coastal communities, have been greatly affected by this growing problem.

Solving this global issue requires concrete goals and collective action.

We at Booth, as a member of 1% for the Planet, are taking an active step towards protecting the oceans by partnering with Coastal Conservation and Education Foundation, Inc. (CCEF) in their mission to save the seas.

In keeping with our core values of looking not just for ourselves but also for others, we are taking part in CCEF’s advocacy to preserve and protect the coastal resources by involving more stakeholders to maintain sustainable coasts and communities.

Marking the onset of our partnership is the celebration of World Cleanup Day last September 17 through a simultaneous underwater and coastal cleanup in Argao and Badian, Cebu. Hundreds of volunteers from the Cebu community, the local government unit, private citizens, CCEF volunteers, and Booth and Partners employees participated in the event.

Over the next few months, we will be working hand-in-hand with CCEF in fulfilling our joint mission of saving the seas and securing the future of coastal communities.

Together, we will make an ocean of change to create an ocean of impact.

Coastal Conservation and Education Foundation, Inc. (CCEF) is a non-profit organization that specializes in Coastal Resource Management (CRM) in maintaining sustainable coasts through involved communities.
